And how to tune into that warm ‘harmony’ feeling…
You've Put in the Work
You’ve done the work. You’ve clarified your values.
But now comes the real question:
Are you actually living them?
Most people assume that once they know their values, the rest will fall into place. But alignment isn’t automatic. it’s intentional.
When you’re living in alignment, life feels grounded, clear, energised. In harmony.
When you’re not, you can feel stuck, reactive, or even disconnected from yourself, and you might not even know why.
Here’s how to spot the difference.
5 Signs You’re In Alignment With Your Values
- Decisions feel clear – even the hard ones
- You feel proud of how you show up
- You’re energized, not just “busy”
- You don’t need external validation to feel right
- You can explain your choices with confidence and calm
You have this intrinsic feeling that says something like “This feels right because it reflects who I am and what matters most to me.”
To be sure, You might still face challenges, but your values act as an internal guide, and you know how to move forward.
Try This: Values Congruence Check
(Adapted from Exercise 9 in the Life Values Method™ Guidebook)
Pick 3–5 of your top values. (If unsure, check out this resources and explore the interactive Life Values Virtual Deck)
Now, for each of your top Life Values, ask yourself honestly:
Am I living this daily? (fulfilling the value)
Give yourself a score out of 10.
And once you’ve scored all your values, reflect with these questions:
- Which values have the biggest gap between what you want, and how you live?
- What’s stopping you from closing that gap – having a higher score? (fulfilling the value)
- What’s one small step you can take to honour and fulfil that value more?
Even a small – but real shift can make a major difference, and bring relief.
Pro Tip: You can use Power Combos (other values) to help you get that shift.
Alignment Isn’t About Perfection. It’s About Honesty
Living your values doesn’t mean every day is perfect.
It means your choices, goals, and behaviours are mindfully grounded in what meaning and purpose – with what matters to you. Not what’s easy, expected of you, or familiar.
If you want a life that feels bold, exciting and rewarding, start by exploring your values. Identify what resonates, and explore why…
